So Alan and I have deleted our Myspace. In a way it bothers me but then again it doesn’t. I still have my blog and ways to communicate with my friends and family and who knows maybe we will make another one someday. After all, it is just Myspace right?! It was just something to do inbetween breaks at work or when I had some down time. Alan never really used his at all but of course that is a guy thing and myspace is more for the female. hehe! Anyway I am over it. On to another subject. Samara has her first treatment for heart worms scheduled on the 15th so wish her luck. I hope she does okay and I am sure she will. I got to spend another day with Keali. We all went to the park and that was fun. Ill post pics soon of her. I am out for now. I just wanted to update a little.

Well I took my dog Samara to the vet yesterday and had her tested for heart worms. She has them. I am worried about her treatments but since she is at the beginning of it and she is still very healthy and the vet said she should do fine. Hopefully we can get started on treatments next week. We also have to have Sari checked this coming weekend. At this point I believe she has them because it seems like she is already showing signs like coughing and vomiting. I know they are just dogs… but they are like our kids. Wish us luck.

I have been slacking lately with my blogging. That is summer for you though. I just get so busy doing different things and I have no time for my silly little blogging! Anyway… alot has happened in the past few weeks since the last time I blogged. I have had a successful back-to-school shopping trip for Cory’s school clothes and 8/6/09 he started his 1st day of 1st grade. He was so cute and so independent just like last year. I had no problem leaving him without him being upset but that doesn’t mean I wasn’t. I did manage not to cry. I did shed a tear or two at work after the girls ask me about it. Overall I did a good job this year handling myself and Cory was extremely good! Zoe is not liking her bubby going to school without her. She wants to go with him. I love hearing her say it because she is country and she says Schew! LOL! She is loving the big kid room at daycare and she is still peeing in that potty like it is nothing. The past 3 months she has only been wearing diapers at night time only. Let’s just say… I do not like wet beds. Other than that we have been 4-wheeling like crazy this summer. Alan got a new explorer and it has been alot of fun to be able to all go with him instead of sometimes leaving one or both kids behind.

Then this past weekend I met Cory’s half sister. Keali. She was wonderful. She was so full of energy just like Cory was when he was at that age and I cannot wait to be able to see her again. Cory still has no idea. We have decided to hold off awhile longer to tell him. We feel he is just not going to be ready for that yet but I do have faith that he will be understanding when that time comes. I pray for that. Wish us luck.

Anniversary time. Yesterday, July 11th, was Our 4th Anniversary! We pretty much just had a relaxed day. We took the kids to Mamaw and Papaw’s and then we enjoyed a movie, a walk at the falls, dinner at El Dorado’s (my fav) and just enjoyed each other. We rarely get a sitter anymore so it was great to have a break! I love knowing that we made it another year when I am sure people have doubted us and thought that we would never work. I hope we keep blowing peoples minds and showing them how a marriage is suppose to work. I cannot lie though. Alan and I have had a few rough times where I didn’t think that we were going to make it. I truly love him and I can tell he feels the same way about me. I know that we can make it together. We have each other and 2 wonderful kids. Last night we had a chance to talk about when we first got together and when Cory just started walking. It is crazy to sit and think about the past. I love having all those memories and I wouldn’t change anything! I believe God has blessed me with a great Family and I thank him everyday for leading me to them and for giving uswhat we have. I just want everyone to know that I love Alan Hibbard!

I have not updated in forever so I just found some time to do so. My last entry about the kidnapper, well the guy was never found and it has been quiet around here since. Some say they think the kid just made it up. I do not know but if it happened then I hope that guy gets what is coming to him soon. Anyway, our weekend get-a-way was great. We went to pigeon forge and took the kids to wonderworks, road go-karts, bumper boats, and enjoyed a couple of arcades. Then relaxed at night and in the morning at the hotel in the pool! It went perfect, except for going broke! LOL! It was worth it just to see how much enjoyment Cory and Zoe got out of it and Alan and I had fun to. It made us feel like kids again! Other than that my best friend had her beautiful baby girl. She is darling. I could hold her for hours. Congratulations Andrea! Muah! I can’t wait to see her and you again soon. I have another friend going through a rough time. I won’t mention who or what but I am just hoping and praying that everything gets fixed in the end and everyone can be happy and safe. As for today, it is the 4th of July! So we are taking the kids downtown to see the fireworks and cooking out more than likely! I just want to wish everyone a happy and SAFE 4th of July. To the kids… Enjoy it! To the partiers… Don’t drink and drive!

9-year-old girl escapes kidnapping at Flat Lick

Was able to kick and pull away from her attacker

A nine-year-old girl was able to save herself from a possible kidnapping Monday evening on Evergreen Road at Flat Lick.

According to Walt Meacham, public affairs officer at the Kentucky State Police Harlan Post, the girl reportedly “was able to kick and pull away” from her attacker.

He reported that the girl was walking home from a friend’s house shortly before 6 p.m. when a man in a white utility-type van with brown trim and peeling paint pulled up next to her.

The man reportedly tried to force her into the van.

When she had freed herself, Meacham said, the girl ran to a nearby home for help.

The unidentified white man was described as being about six feet tall, wearing a dark green T-shirt, blue jeans and brown work boots.

During the attempted abduction, he was reportedly wearing a ski mask.

The Chevrolet van was reported to have double-opening side doors, rather than sliding doors.

Those with information that may assist in the investigation may call the Harlan Kentucky State Police post at 606-573-3131.

(I walk this road almost everyday after work, my kids play out in the yard. I can’t even let them play anymore. This guy must be caught. I am so disgusted with people and their fucked up minds. Don’t leave your kids alone outside!!!)

great right now. All accept Alan’s Grandma had a lawn mowing accident the other day. She is doing okay but in some pain so just keep her in your thoughts. Other than that everything has been running smoothly (knock on wood) with Alan’s job and bills. I have been working on my credit to have a better score. I don’t think it will be perfect like Alan’s but I want it to be good so that when we start looking for houses again they won’t even think twice. I got a small personal loan yesterday and I tried this time last year and was not able to. So I was really surprised and grateful. I must have been doing something right.

Then there is our trip coming up. We are taking the kids down to Pigeon Forge on the 19th. I booked the hotel last night. We plan on taking them to Wonderworks, riding go-carts, just anything to make them smile and have a good time. I love them so much and I just can’t wait to spend this time with them. I am excited myself. I am like a little kid when it comes to this stuff LOL! Anyway, I am off here for now. Again, just keek Alan’s Grandma in your thoughts and prayers. I hate to see her in pain.

This morning was sad, but in so many ways exciting. Cory was so cute today. He got an award for reading above his level. He then received his cute little diploma. We are so proud of him. I will never forget this day.

is going to be entering into the 1st grade this year. I cannot believe it. I know I rattle on about this all the time but it is really starting to hit me hard. I have been with him since he was 5 to 6 months old.( Just for those who don’t know. I did adopt Cory. Thought I would add that it in since that previous sentence sounded strange.hehe. ) Anyways, that boy is my everything. Tomorrow morning I get to witness him “graduate” Kindergarten. I am so excited, anxious and sad all at the same time. Yes, I will probably ball my eyes out tomorrow. I remember the first time I seen him. I knew from that instant that he was very special, and that he was going to be a part of me some how. If you didn’t know the situation you would never know that I adopted him. We have a natural Mother/Son relationship. The first time he said Mommy. He said it to me. I fell in love with him instantly. I may have not given birth to him, but the love that I have for him is stronger than no other. No one can tear us apart. I devoted my life to him instantly. I promised to raise him as my own, pick him up when he falls, hold his hand when needed, wipe away all of his tears, and again love him like a mother shall love her son. I just can’t stand him growing up. I wish I could shrink him back down to the day that I first met him. He was so chubby and loveable. You couldn’t help but smother him with kisses when you seen him. He always had a smile on his face, still does. I remember when he first started walking… so cute. He loved anything that was a ball. That was all he was worried about was his ball. I remember I bought him one of those huge blue bouncy balls and it was bigger than he was but he threw it around like it wasn’t nothing. Now he is really in to basketball. Hopefully he will get to play on a team soon. I can go on and on about this. Just wish him luck. I’ll post pics tomorrow of the “graduation”.

Everything seems to be going okay especially since Alan has a job now. Tomorrow I have to get a couple of BDAY presents for Mya, Ayanna, and Sequoyah! Happy BDay to them! MUAH! I am going to get Mya and Ayanna some sort of flip flops and decorate them with ribbon and buttons… with Cassy’s help. I am also getting my haircut tomorrow. Then Saturday I have to go to Mya and Ayanna’s Bday party and Sequoyahs that night for an adult party! LOL! It is going to be a busy weekend but I like them that way! I am so excited about having a 3 day weekend. My lovely Cory is having a Kindergarten Honors Program Monday morning. I am so excited for that. I think it is like a mini graduation. He will be so cute. I plan to video tape it.

Other than that… we have been trying to decide whether to take the kids to the Louisville Zoo/Cincinnatti Zoo or just take them to Pigeon Forge and go crazy doing everything like riding the go-carts. Hopefully we will come to a conclusion soon. The kids will enjoy either one!

Also, Zoe has been using the heck out of new potty. She is not ready to go places without a diaper but for about 2 weeks now she has not been wearing nothing but panties at home. She does have a couple of accidents but its because she couldn’t get her panties down in time. She is big girl so she doesn’t want help of course. I am so proud of her. So she just has to work on holding it longer and doing it a daycare. So as soon as they start working with her there she will be doing very good. Not to mention I have saved a fortune in diapers since this has started.

I love being a mom so much. There is nothing better than getting handmade gifts from your kids and plants they planted theirself. I love Cory and Zoe with all my heart. Plus I got earrings, a card, and more flowers that Cassy helped the kids get! I love her! Not only that but Alan was awesome yesterday. I did not have to do one thing. He cleaned the house including the laundry. He just let me relax. I love him so much for making such an effort to make me a happy mommy yesterday. Here are the plants from Cory and Zoe.

Besides that the aquarium was awesome. I definitley recommend you go there if you haven’t. The kids loved it. I also got a taste of what it is like to have 3 kids because since we chaperoned Cory had a buddy to tag along. His name was Tanner and he was very good kid, but watching after Cory, Tanner and Zoe was insane but so much fun. This does not make me not want to have another baby. I definitley want to have more *wink*!

So it was pretty much another great weekend. I am happily tired from it all. In other news, I did put my resume in at a couple of new jobs. I just have to get out of CSC and I need to get back into Phlebotomy. I mean I didn’t pay for that class for nothing. hehe. Patti sent me a job posting last week for a medical assistant with phlebotomy training. So I sent me resume today. Wish me luck.

I am also thinking of Andrea today. She has worried herself to death over something that I won’t mention. Just pray for her. I love you Annie!

This week is pretty laid back. I dont have much to do but one thing and that is the field trip to the aquarium Friday. I am terribly excited about it. Just because I know the kids will love it and it is something to do besides hang out at the house every weekend you know!

I do want to say that I hate bills. If someone doesn’t hire Alan soon, I swear I think I will go and threaten them with some sort of gun and demand they hire him whether they can afford it or not! LOL! Well not really but I do feel this way. I hate how the economy has gotten so bad lately. I told Alan we should seriously think about moving to a bigger city because there isn’t anything here, no opportunity, just depression. Almost everyone is on drugs and that is all they worry about, they have kids and don’t raise them, and girls as young as nothing do things I wouldn’t have even thought about doing. I don’t understand this town. No offense to anyone who lives in B-Ville but it has some serious friggin’ issues. There are few people here that have goals and ambitions. They just wake up looking for their next high, not how they are going to buy their baby diapers or how am I going to pay my bills. It’s all about drugs. I am just sick of it. Some of these people make me sick. Enough ranting and raving. Can you tell I woke up on the wrong side of the bed? LOL!

went so well. Annie got a lot of gifts and just a few of her friends were there and thats what made it so special! I was so glad that we did that for her. The food was really yummy and the cake looked awesome. It couldn’t have gone any better. Here a couple of pics.

I have so much to do the next couple of days. Steph and I have to get everything together for Andrea’s Baby Shower. It is going to be really cute but no sneak peaks. Everyone will be able to see Saturday. I can’t wait until this work week is over. I am sore from my calves to my ass because of that exercise machine. HAHA! I guess that means that it’s working. Next Friday is the field trip. No work… ALL PLAY! YAY! Cory says he doesn’t want Zoe to go because she will be grouchy… I reminded him that Zoe will not bother him LOL! and that he should want her to go because he is her BIG brother and then he partially changed his mind. He is so funny. The brother and sister disagreements already starting?! OH NO! I have a feeling I will have it rough with them two in a couple of years. Everyday I already here… MOM get Zoe out of my room and then Zoe will act hurt and say Bubby did that. Motherhood is beautiful!

It is Monday again. Boo! I had a great weekend. This week I have to do last minute things for Andrea’s baby shower. We have to get the games together and know whether or not we will be having it at the park. Hopefully the weather will permit us. I also plan on making sure I go to the tanning bed everyday this week after work and walking. My diet is going good so I can’t start slacking now. Cory’s field trip is in 2 weeks. I am super excited about that. I can’t wait for pay day again. Lord knows I am already broke LOL! What can I say, I love spending that money! Anyway, I have to clock in!

I have been doing nothing the past 2 days because of this evil strep. I can’t believe I have it. I had my tounsils out when I was 12 and it is so rare to get it after that. Anyway a upside to this is when I went to the Dr. I discovered that I lost 11 lbs. since the end of Feb. That’s from straight up hard work and now adding some exercise LOL! I was glad to know that I don’t need to take diet pills to lose it… just will-power. So I have to keep it up. I am starting to feel a little better though and I need to because I have Andrea’s baby shower to plan for which is 2 more weeks. Pay day is tomorrow so I have to get everything for it this weekend. I am super excited. Cassy made her a diaper cake to die for. Here it is:

Well it looks like I got my wishes. Cory is going on a school field trip to the Aquarium in May. I am so excited because Alan and I are going to chaperone. Zoe is also included in that. It is going to be so much fun and also save us a lot of money. Since we are going as chaperones then it is only going to cost $11.oo per ticket and regular price was $21.50 per adult. Cory and Zoe will be free. So that saves us a little over $40.oo! I am so excited. That also means I will be able to plan a bigger trip for them this summer!

I can’t wait to see the penguins.

I am sitting here in the break room wasting some time before I have to clock in. This weekend was relaxing. We didn’t have anything going on which was awesome. Steph came over Friday and Saturday to hang out and also walk. I took the kids Saturday to the park then Alan and I took them again that evening along with ice cream for a little family time! That was my favorite part about the weekend. Then Sunday Alan and the kids went to Great Grandma’s house and I planned on going as well but I did not plan on having a mini virus that morning, so I stayed home to recover. The kids had fun though, Great Grandma spoiled them with stuff and I made Alan take her some 8×10′s of the kids that Kelli made for us. Oh yeah, Molly and Perry came over Friday night and they brought their 2 month old BEAUTIFUL baby boy. I loved playing with him and it made me feel the need to have another. So one day Cory and Zoe will have a little brother or sister.

Cory has a field trip in the upcoming weeks to the aquarium, which is where we also planned on taking them but that could change. There is also Soccer sign ups, I thought about asking Cory if he wanted to play. Hopefully he wants to because I would like to see him in that cute little uniform!
